Well according to some who shall remain shameless; it is time for me to write something. It has been almost a year, so the average amount of procrastination time that I give to a task is almost complete. Therefore consider this an early start. I am ahead of myself! The past year has been very encouraging, professionally and personally. Finding my stride in both practice and pace has made the future look even brighter. I just returned from time in the great western plains of Alberta and then a tour through the mountains of BC. The best part was the small company who induced frequent stops at parks, bathrooms and scenic vistas. Time with my daughters was also precious and observers commented with jealousy how close of a family we seem to be. We are probably actually closer than we let on and more time together will just drive us closer. Ten days and 2700 kilometers in a van with 7 proves it. We are already planning the next tour and hope to travel less but do more.
The coming year seems to be promising exciting times and I was surprised at how easy it was to return to work.
The most delightful memory of the road trip was to hear my oldest sing Itsy Bitsy Spider
to the boys repeatedly but in various tones and different voices. Peals of laughter ensued and I almost drove into the lake.
Another great memory was to watch my grandson have a roaring contest with his great grandfather, and be absolutely convinced that he was holding is own against such a giant opponent.
May his ferocious confidence never wane.
